Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 November 2026

This policy explains how Neo-Noir Entertainment, operated by J. I. Jones (“we”, “our”, “us”), collects and uses personal data on neonoirentertainment.com and our online store at store.neonoirentertainment.com (together, the “Sites”). We are the data controller and handle your data in line with UK data protection law.

1. What we collect

  • Orders: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number (if provided) and the details of what you ordered.
  • Accounts: if you create an account, your login details and order history.
  • Messages and forms: anything you send us through a contact form or by email, including your name and email address.
  • Polls and feedback: any answers you submit through polls or forms on the Sites.
  • Technical data: your IP address, browser type, device information and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar technologies, and by security and statistics tools.

2. How we use it

  • To take payment, fulfil and deliver your order, and handle returns and refunds (to carry out our contract with you).
  • To reply to your messages and give support (our legitimate interest in running the business, or to take steps you ask for).
  • To keep the Sites secure, prevent fraud and spam, and understand how the Sites are used (our legitimate interests).
  • To keep accounting and tax records (a legal obligation).

We do not sell your personal data. We only send you marketing emails if you have asked us to, and you can opt out at any time.

3. Who we share it with

We share data only with services that help us run the Sites and deliver your order:

  • PayPal and WooPayments process payments. We do not see or store your full card details.
  • Printful produces and ships merchandise, and Lulu prints and ships books. They receive your name, delivery address and contact details so they can deliver your order.
  • Hosting, security and analytics providers, such as our web host, Wordfence and Jetpack, process technical data to keep the Sites running and secure.
  • Delivery carriers used by those fulfilment partners.
  • Authorities or professional advisers where the law requires it.

Some of these providers are based outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as approved contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

4. How long we keep it

We keep order and accounting records for as long as the law requires, normally six years. Messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete your account.

5. Cookies

The Sites use cookies that are needed for things like your basket, checkout and login, along with security and statistics cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although parts of the store may not work without the essential ones.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. To use any of these rights, email support@neonoirentertainment.com. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

7. Children

The Sites are not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
